It costs nothing to join Friends of Peace Park Sheboygan. All you need to do is contact us and let us know you want to join. It's that simple. You can be as involved as you want to be (or not).
We have various Teams that meet as needed. They include the Maintenance Team, Fund Raising Team, Design/Build Team, PR Team and Social Media Team.

The Board meets once a month - currently,
we are meeting virtually via Zoom.
Meetings are held during the
3rd week of the month,
typically in the afternoon.
All Members are welcome to
attend Board Meetings.
As with many groups, the Fund Raising Team is a key part of our efforts to develop Sheboygan Peace Park. Our Capital Fund Raising Campaign had to go on hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are still anticipating the need for funds to continue the work we have begun.
This Team will gather on a limited basis to explore ways to engage the community, to spread the word about our group and the park,
to plan events for a post-pandemic world, to reach out to schools and other organizations and yes, to raise funds.
Phase One of our 3-Phase plan has been completed. There have been some minor tweaks made to the plans as a result of limited fund-raising opportunities but as we move ahead
with seeking funds in the near future,
we will be making plans for what the
next steps will look like.
This Team began work in 2019 as an adjunct of the Fund-Raising Team. We have established a Speakers' Bureau to speak to various service clubs and organizations in the area. The PR Team would also be responsible for placing notices in and submitting photos to the local papers as well as posting notices of meetings and events in various locations.
The Maintenance Team (AKA Weeding and Watering Team) takes care of watering and weeding the various gardens at the Park
as well as general clean-up at the park.
The Team would be responsible for planning events and/or coordinating events proposed by other Members. Like so many things in 2020, the Events Team has had to take a break from active work. We hope that we will be able to plan events at the Park in 2021.
We have had a Facebook page since 2016 and a website since 2018. Both of these efforts need members to contribute photos and other ideas as well as to update and maintain the sites.
